Greece off the Beaten Track Tour (15 days /14 nights)

Self Drive through Mountains of Northern Greece | The other side of Greece
Visit the surprisingly beautiful northwest of Greece with impressive monasteries, ancient mountain villages, deep gorges, medieval bridges, deep blue mountain lakes and plenty of hiking opportunities. You start and end the trip in Thessaloniki.
From there you will travel to Greece's highest mountain, Mt. Olympos, seat of the gods. Equally impressive are the monasteries of Meteora, all built on hair-raising rock formations, one of the most beautiful sites in Greece. In Metsovo you feel more like you are in Switzerland than Greece.
The Zagoria Mountains are one of the most beautiful regions in the Balkans, full of stone mountain villages, centuries-old round bridges, the impressive Vikos gorge and plenty of hiking opportunities. You travel straight through the mountains to Kastoria, located on a mountain lake and the Prespa lakes are not far away. Via Nymfaio (voted the most beautiful village in Greece) you return to Thessaloniki.
